Waikato Asbestos is an occupational health and safety consultancy with expertise in the management of the risks arising from asbestos.

Our mission is to provide clients with accurate impartial advice, on the management of the asbestos risk within a workplace or a home.

Our surveys are carried out in accordance with BOHS IP402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies to meet the requirements of WorkSafe Good Practice Guidelines for Conducting Asbestos Surveys (2016) and the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016.

Our principal John Mayne has considerable knowledge and experience in the identification of asbestos in buildings and in the management of health and safety risks including asbestos.

John is a BOHS (British Occupational Health Society) IP 402 trained Asbestos Surveyor, a Graduate Member of the New Zealand Institute of Health and Safety (Grad NZISM) and has academic qualifications in Quality Management (MSc), Construction Technology (Dip) and Occupational Health and Safety (Dip).

He has over 20 years practical experience in the identification and management of asbestos and maintains knowledge of legislation and best practice of the management of the risk arising from asbestos in connection with as part of his continuous professional development in connection with his NZISM membership.
